Generosity is the backbone of GBWN. Without the big hearts of our supporters, we would not be where we are today.
When we got a call a few weeks back from a generous donor offering to match donations up to $50,000 it was an unexpected surprise. It could not have come at a better time.
As we gear up to stop Cedar City’s West Desert Water Grab, we need all the help we can get to protect towns like Milford and Baker and landmarks like Great Basin National Park, the Great Salt Lake and Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge.
During this season of giving please consider a donation to GBWN. Our mission is simple: We work to protect desert water from interests that ignore the benefits of conservation. Help us max out this generous offer. Donate today and double your money.
This contribution match is in honor of water warriors Cecil Garland and Jules Dreyfous – two folks who worked to keep rural water in the Great Basin from going hundreds of miles south to Las Vegas. If we let Cedar City groundwater mine valleys near the NV-UT border, it will undermine the work we’ve done to stop the Vegas pipeline.
Every dollar we get will go a long way to keep water local. Donate here.
