GBWN board members Delaine and Rick Spilsbury spent time with the Associated Press to discuss their family’s ties to the land, water, and history of the sacred site known as Bahsahwahbee.
GBWN has worked with Western Shoshone tribes for decades in protecting the irreplaceable resources and commemorating indigenous history in the heart of the Great Basin.
GBWN is grateful for having the opportunities to listen, learn, and reflect on the stories tribal elders have shared to protect what is sacred.
For the past, present and future, GBWN will support native communities in uplifting and respecting their vision for the future.
